Luscious

1996 - present

The first Luscious night ran in August 1996 at the Shore Inn in Nairn, myself and a friend, Pete Moore took up residency on every Friday thereafter, we were joined in 1997 by Ian Ashley and played there until the venue was sold to different owners in 2003.

During that time we had guest DJs including State of Grace.

Myself and the guys went on to play alongside Andy Belby at The Sound Experience all around the north

Myself and Ian also played in Blue niteclub many times. We held a Luscious there when Ali MacLeod had rebranded as Motion.

We took the Luscious event to the Isle of Harris for two all night beach parties in 2004 and 2005, James Fraser from JMF Records was working there at the time znd and asked us to organise the nights.

We held some more events outside Nairn in marquees on Nairn Gamesday and New Year from 2006-2008.

In 2011 Ian Ashley opened a nightclub in Buckie, Kiss and has hosted Luscious there.

In 2013 myself and Pete Moore opened the Play House in Nairn, I had constructed the building internally so we now had our own venue to hold our nights. I sold my business share in 2017 to spend more time with my two young children.

Luscious has relaunched this year and we've played two local venues with plans for larger licenced outside events in the summer, with a new addition to the line up, Arran Burt.
